Students audition for the various honor bands, choirs and orchestras held throughout the year. BCHS musicians often earn first-chair honors at the Kern County level as well as attain seats at the state level.

Each year the BCHS calendar includes numerous concerts that enrich the experience for our students and for our entire community. While some performances focus on holiday celebrations, others showcase the various musical genres on which the ensemble focuses.

While BCHS musicians have plenty of time in the spotlight, they also support the cast of the school musical by playing the score from the show in the pit orchestra. Other instrumental and vocal ensembles have enhanced community events by providing entertainment.
